JICF Core Values

Prayer

Prayer is the primary way God desires us to do the work He has called us to. Personal and corporate prayer sustain the life of the church. Good work can be done without prayer, but excellent work with lasting fruit comes only through prayer.

Servant Leadership

Leadership in the church is not about power or position but about servanthood. Integrity and character give leaders authority, affirmed by the Body of Christ.

Community Groups

Community groups are central to church life, where teaching, relationships, service, and prayer foster real life change and nurture.

Unity in Diversity

Our diversity in culture, temperament, spiritual journey, gender, age, and gifting is a strength. Under Christ we are united, conforming to His image.

Grace-Filled Community

The church should be the most honest community in the world, providing an environment of grace and truth where healing and maturity can occur.

Stewardship

Faith in Christ means stewarding all He has given us. Our lives should resemble a river—life-giving and moving with God’s purposes—rather than a stagnant reservoir. Stewardship involves regular, generous, sacrificial, and joyful investment in God’s kingdom.

Excellence

Excellence means wholehearted effort in ministry, contextualizing the message without compromising truth. It reflects our desire to reach people for Christ from every tribe, language, and nation.

Partnership

Other churches are not competition but partners in the work of Christ. JICF seeks to collaborate with other churches in living out and reaching out with faith.

Gifts

All believers are called and gifted. Ministry is not for a select few; every race, color, gender, and age can contribute to God’s work.

Team Leadership

Leadership is shared among teams, including the Elders’ Team. Teams ensure accountability, mentor emerging leaders, and produce the best results.

Discipleship

The church is in the people-building business. Every believer is called to disciple and be discipled, becoming more like Christ.

Worship

Worship is a lifestyle, a 24/7 experience. It acknowledges God’s worth and gives Him our whole lives. Worship is characterized by humility, gratefulness, and joy, both corporately and individually.
