JICF Marriage Ministry

Mission

To honor God by preparing couples for marriage and helping husbands and wives build Christ-centered relationships that reflect His glory.

Vision

We believe marriage is a gift from the Lord, given to display His greatness to the world (James 1:17; Matthew 5:14–16). Our vision is to see marriages that glorify God, rooted in His Word, and strengthened through discipleship and community.

Purpose

Marriage is one of the most important decisions in life. The ministry exists to: - Prepare couples for both their wedding day and lifelong marriage.
- Provide biblical teaching on marriage, divorce, and remarriage.
- Encourage purity and commitment through cohabitation statements and pledges.
- Support couples in building marriages that honor Christ.

Pre-Marriage

  • Pre-Marriage Brochure: Guidance for couples preparing for marriage.
  • Elders’ Paper: Biblical teaching on marriage, divorce, and remarriage.
  • Statement of Faith & Purity Pledge: Commitment to holiness and obedience.
  • Wedding Registration Form: Practical steps for couples preparing to marry at JICF.

Marriage Enrichment – re|engage

  • A discipleship ministry for couples whose marriages need to be reignited, reconnected, or resurrected.
  • Provides a safe environment for couples to grow together.
  • Includes teaching, small group support, and testimonies of transformed marriages.

Outcomes

Through the Marriage Ministry, couples will: - Prepare biblically for marriage.
- Build Christ-centered relationships that glorify God.
- Experience renewal and healing in struggling marriages.
- Grow in discipleship and community with other couples.
