JICF Practices¶

To accomplish our mission and vision, we engage in practices modeled on the early church:

Baptism¶

Baptism by immersion symbolizes death to the old life and resurrection to new life in Christ. It is encouraged for all believers as an act of obedience.

The Lord’s Supper¶

Administered monthly, the bread symbolizes Christ’s sinless body, and the cup symbolizes His blood shed for our forgiveness and the New Covenant.

Family Dedication¶

Parents publicly commit to disciple their children, while the congregation pledges to support them in raising fully devoted followers of Christ.

Church Government¶

JICF is overseen by a team of Elders/Overseers who exemplify biblical leadership and work together to guide the church.

Community Groups¶

Community Groups provide relationships for care, support, Bible study, prayer, discipleship, accountability, and outreach.

Bible Study and Prayer¶

Daily Bible reading and prayer are encouraged for all believers. Resources such as The Daily Bread are provided.

Believers are encouraged to be generous, doing good deeds, and sharing resources as instructed in 1 Timothy 6:17–19.
